There are several courts in Alabama that deal with bankruptcy. Each court is part of a division, each division is part of a district.
In Alabama there are three districts, the Northern, Middle, and Southern. Within each district are divisions (a local court), each division
handles cases within their area so folks aren't driving halfway across the state for their day in court. However, the drive to a bankruptcy
court can still be an hour or so for some people, depends on where you live. Where you live generally determines what district you file in
and what division will handle your bankruptcy case.
